Update on Miss Harper AshLynn!

Wow! It has been a while since I last posted! December! YIKES! Well things sure have progressed since then!

We are currently 34 weeks and 5 days pregnant! Miss Harper is very impatient! ( I have no IDEA where she gets that from!) I've been having Braxton Hicks for a while now on and off and Monday while sitting in class I started having them oh every 10 minutes! That night I went to OB Assessment and found out I was dilated and obvious having major contractions. They sent me home on bedrest and I had to go see my doctor Tuesday! Still having the contractions I was put on medicine to help stop them! As of today they have calmed down a bit! They aren't continuous but hopefully this medicine is working! My sweet girl is just so eager to get out into this world! She's afraid she's gonna miss something I guess! Hahahahaha

We've completed ALL our prenatal classes! YAY! Her room is complete except the glider! We are still trying to find the RIGHT one! We don't just want to buy one that we haven't tried out! That's just CRAZY! We got her pack n play and swing in the mail today and Daddy is going to put them together when he gets home! Eeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!!! So excited!

We were thinking Harper would come late...in April. I was 2 weeks late and I guess I just thought she would be too! Since she's started acting out we don't think we are going to even make it to our due date! I mean that is 5 weeks and 2 days away! We'll see I guess!

Our world is fixing to CHANGE for the BETTER and we couldn't be MORE EXCITED! We are so THANKFUL for our FAMILY & FRIENDS who have helped us along the way and who continue to help us! They are the ABSOLUTE GREATEST! We LOVE Y'ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

Our Sweet GIRL Harper AshLynn Cox!

As of today we are 22 weeks and 6 days! Tomorrow is the 23 week mark! As you all know, on October 26, we found out we were having a SWEET LITTLE GIRL! We are so excited! Our whole family is EXCITED! Especially Jeff's MOM! She IS FINALLY GETTING HER GIRL! :) Jeff comes from a FAMILY of ALL BOYS! He and his brother of course and then his Dad comes from BOYS, etc! So needless to say the Cox clan needs some ESTROGEN! Hahaha!

 

 

 It didn't take us long to name our sweet girl! I knew I wanted to name her AshLynn since last June! Her name comes from two different women that I LOVE WITH ALL OF MY HEART! My Granny, Doris Ash Williamson and my Aunt Lynn! When my Granny died  last year I knew I was going to name my little girl after her and give her my middle name and my Aunt Lynn's name! So we just needed to find a first name or middle name then! I have been spitting out names since we first found out we were pregnant in July! Jeff was very particular! Just about every name I said he didn't like! Hahaha! Go Figure! Well, that Friday night we were sitting here talking and I said what about Harper (a name I had already said previously with a NO) and Jeff said "YES! I LOVE IT!" Harper isn't a family name. I've heard that name for a little girl before and just fell in LOVE with it. Of course Jeff was quick to point out that there was an ER character (girl of course) that was Harper! Then he quickly pointed out that one of his favorite shows as a kid was Mama's Family and her name was Thelma HARPER! Hahaha! I quickly pointed out 'To Kill A Mockingbird's' Harper Lee! So we DECIDED that was it! So our Baby Girl's name is Harper AshLynn! We debated on calling her Harper or AshLynn but we decided on Harper! My sweet girl with know all about her MIDDLE NAME and know how WONDERFUL & SWEET her Great Great Grandmother was! She really helped MOMMY become the woman she is today! There isn't a day that goes by that I do not think of her and miss her! I can't wait to tell Harper ALL ABOUT HER!

We've done all our registering! We've picked out everything! Except the PAINT! We are waiting on her bedding to match up the paint! DADDY IS SO EXCITED! HE CAN'T WAIT TO PAINT HIS LITTLE GIRL'S ROOM! Speaking of the Daddy to be! He LOVES this little girl so much already! It absolutely makes me tear up! We both can't wait until she gets here in March/April! If she's like her Mama she might come 2 weeks LATE! If she's like her Daddy, she might come 2 weeks EARLY! We can't wait to meet her and see what she looks like! We keep talking about it! You just wonder ya know?! I know he is going to be the BEST DADDY IN THE WORLD! I can't wait to see him hold her for the first time! He's already trying to prepare! We watch "A Baby Story", daily! He's so excited for our birthing classes! He wants to tour the hospital like YESTERDAY! Seeing him like this just melts my heart! I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH and it grows every day!

Jeff and I are so BLESSED to have the FAMILY & FRIENDS that we have! Harper is already LOVED by SO MANY!!! She has no idea!! She has a HUGE family just waiting for her! Mommy & Daddy already LOVE her so much! But it goes far beyond that! Harper is the FIRST grandchild!!!! Our parents are so excited! People are already buying her sweet little things! It's so sweet! I'm EXTREMELY excited about our SHOWERS! Yes we are having more than one since our FAMILIES aren't located in the same area and then our FRIENDS (Our EXTENDED FAMILY) is having us one here in Macon! See what I mean?! She is ALREADY LOVED! I'm so excited to see our FAMILIES and share this SWEET OCCASION with them! We have FAMILY COMING IN FROM DALLAS & The Carolina Coast!!!!! There are just no words to describe how EXCITED we are! Our sweet Harper is ONE BLESSED LITTLE GIRL!!!

So tomorrow marks week 23! It feels like it is just FLYING by! She's just GROWING & GROWING! At our last visit she was 13 oz! She's doing GREAT! It looks like she's gonna get her Mama's LOVE of DANCING! She does a routine daily! She's a very active little girl! It seems like she's awake when I'm awake and sleeps when I sleep! I LOVE IT! We pre-registered Harper for the hospital last night! She is going to be here before we know it! We start our birthing classes in January!!! Our showers are in January and early February!!!! Then IT'S MARCH! I have a feeling she is going to come in April though! Which we are TOTALLY fine with! After all, April's birthstone is a DIAMOND! Hahaha!! And our sweet girl is going to SHINE BRIGHT for sure!

A Year Changes Everything!

Hey Frands!

I can't believe it's been a WHOLE year since I last blogged! That is absolutely nuts! So what has happened in a year you ask?!

Well the BIGGEST thing if you don't already know... JEFF & I ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS! We are patiently awaiting our SWEET LITTLE BUNDLE!! He or She is due March 31, 2013! Right now we are 16 weeks and 3 days! We HOPE to find out what Baby Cox is next Friday with Mimi & Papa!! Of course I THINK IT'S A GIRL not just because I want a girl but for various reasons....of course DADDY THINKS IT'S A BOY!! Obviously because he wants a little SLUGGER! Hahahaha

Abby is doing great! We really don't know if she realizes she's going to be A BIG SISTER or not! We keep talking to her about it and she visits the Baby's room often. We haven't gotten the room ready yet but that's where we are storing all the baby's NEW stuff and she just goes in there and sniffs! I have noticed she is very "clingy" to me. She usually is beside me wherever I go lately! So I think she knows something is going on! We are going to involve her in everything so she feels apart of it! Which she should! She IS!! She's the BIG SISTER!! 

Well that's all for now! I've been at this whole 'UPDATING' my blog thing for waaaaaaay to long! LAUNDRY IS CALLING MY NAME!

Wowzas!!!

Hey Frands!


Wow it sure has been a while since I last blogged! Yikes! I must apologize! When you get behind a week or two those seem to turn into a few more week and a few more before you know it, IT'S OCTOBER and you haven't blogged in MONTHS! LOL

Well fall classes are well under weigh! We are halfway through the semester! Chemistry is GOING GREAT! I thought I was going to struggle with this class but TO MY SURPRISE I HAVE A B IN THIS CLASS RIGHT NOW! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for that because I NEVER had that in A&P I or II and I didn't have that in Microbiology either! I've gotten an 87 & 87.5 on my first two exams! I have a high B so I am hoping to pull off an A!!! I am also taking Human Development and Hist online. Those are going great also!

Jeff and I are doing great. Abby is doing great! FALL IS HERE IN ALL ITS GLORY so you know what that means....GEORGIA SATURDAYS AND THE GA NATIONAL FAIR!! :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The temps aren't quiet as awful as they have been- which is a good thing but as always I do miss SUMMER! :D

My 25th birthday was 3 weeks ago tomorrow! We went to NYC! Had a blast and LOVED IT! We didn't get to do EVERYTHING we wanted to do but we DID MOST OF IT! ;) That just means we'll have to GO BACK! Hahahaha! You can see some of those pictures on my blog background! Love LOVE LOVED NYC!

This week we signed away MY VERY FIRST CAR. It was bittersweet! It was time for her to go! We got a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse! We LOVE it! It's MUCH BIGGER AND ROOMIER! And the gas mileage is better than the X-TERRA!! Love it!

We had a great weekend with my family last weekend! We went to Burt's Pumpkin Farm! I seriously have not been there in YEARS! We used to go there in the fall for field trips and I loved it! SO....Mama, Aunt Lynn, Adam, Corban, Cameron, Jeff and myself decided to go last Saturday and we had a blast! I felt like a kid again! We got a GOOD ONE too for CHEAP! I love this time of year! :) Everything in our house smells like FALL! And my car does too! Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin from Bath & Body Works is AH-MAZING!! Love love love it!

Well frands I have got to run some errands so I must depart! But I will be back next week!!
